Steampunk #5

Included in this long-awaited number 5 are self-reflective essays responding to the growing popularity of non-confrontational steampunk (just one more niche market to be marketed to), including a chronology of steampunk events, a rejection of defensiveness, an interview that emphasizes the overlap between steampunk and the least political aspects of DIY trends, etc. Also pieces on tramp printers, technological change, fiction, and an interview with Voltaire (!).

This magazine continues to inspire with beautiful art, a respect for the abilities of its readers, and an oblique, playful approach to serious topics.
