This 2007 book proves that an academic can do a good job of linking actual anarchist theory and actual practice. Uri Gordon is an israeli activist and journalist, working with Dissent!; Indymedia; Anarchists Against the Wall, etc. There are chapters on violence, nationalism, power, and technology, and Gordon has fresh things to say about all of these topics. It's also a nicely produced book with a bibliography and an index, for those of us who care about such things. Recommended.
