Abolishing the Borders from Below
There is a justifiable need to abolish the borders between nations, societies, cultures and whatever else separates and defines us. In order that this process does not lead to the formation of new borders or other types of segregation, like those established by elitist institutions such as the EU, NATO or UN, it has to be done from below, by the people.
There is an enduring need to immediately abolish all states, governments and authoritarian institutions so that communities based on common values such as freedom, respect, cooperation and solidarity can be formed. These communities in turn can lead to the transformation of the world order into one based on the above mentioned values. In order to push that process forward with support for the development of the anarchist movement over the borders we have created ... Abolishing the Bordes from Below - an anarchist couriere from Eastern Europe.

Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed Magazine
Tired of being told what to do, how to feel, and how to think?
Discover the world of Anarchy.
Anarchy Magazine is home to today's most challenging, creative, vibrant and critical strains of anti-authoritarian thought. We take no shit and don't think you should have to either.
The most provocative, confrontational discourse around in a journal of desire armed; uncompromisingly anti-authoritarian, Anarchy refuses all ideology. We criticize all religion, all moralism, all political ideology. We have no patience for nationalism, militarism, racism, or hierarchy. We don’t want to leave anything out. Nothing is sacred, least of all anarchism.
We are creating a genuinely different vision—radically cooperative and communitarian, ecological and feminist, spontaneous and wild—a liberatory vision free from the constraints of our own human self-domestication.

Ardent Press
Based in the San Francisco bay area Ardent Press is a new publishing company, one that is committed to publishing original anarchist and anti-political works.
There are many existing anarchist publishing efforts, but we strongly believe in the anarchist principles of decentralization and diversity, and in this spirit we enter in to this excellent company—with books for children and adults, books on philosophy, nihilism, sexuality and body image, race, history, and psychology, all from an anarchist and anti-political perspective.
While there are almost as many definitions of anarchist as there are anarchists, ours is one based on a rejection of representation, one based on a radical practice that eschews the political role of the activist, militant or leftist. Anti-political means the struggle to steal back the power that we have been dispossessed of, our power to create our lives, instead of politically petitioning the state to act in our name.

Audio Anarchy
Audio Anarchy is a project for transcribing anarchist books into audio format.
We hope that this makes anarchist texts and ideas more accessible. Beyond the obvious appeal for people who don't like to read (or don't have time to read in this busy on-the-go world), hearing a book read aloud can also be enjoyable.
The Audio Anarchy project is organized in a distributed way. Instead of having a single person or group of people read an entire book, different people read separate chapters to distribute the work load. Ideally, this site will do more to help facilitate that kind of organization in the future.
www.audioanarchyAutonomedia
Autonomedia is an autonomous zone for arts radicals in both old and new media. We publish books on radical media, politics and the arts that seek to transcend party lines, bottom lines and straight lines. Black Powder Press
Black Powder Press is an anarchist collective located in Northern California. Our goal is to inform and inspire the anarchist movement in North America; to this end we have selected an array of quality radical publications on a variety of subjects ranging from organization in the workplace to how to build composting toilets to the works of Alfredo Bonanno. We hope to stimulate both discussion and action (nothing illegal, of course) through making these subjects accessible to as many people as possible, especially those who would not normally have access to anarchist literature. Ken Knabb discovered the situationists (whose new methods of agitation ultimately helped trigger the May 1968 revolt in France) in 1969, and since that time he has devoted himself to presenting the most accurate and comprehensive translations of their works to English-speaking readers while at the same time pursuing his own radical projects (inspired by the situationists, but diverging from them in certain respects).

CrimethInc. is a decentralized anarchist collective composed of many cells which act independently of one another. Multiple divisions of the group have published books, while others have acted as record labels; less public splinter-groups have carried out direct action, hosted international conventions and other events, maintained local chapters, rioted, toured with multimedia performance art and/or hardcore anarcho-punk musical ensembles, and supported various large-scale campaigns with publicity work (including the Unabomer for President and the "Don't Just Vote" campaigns as well as the anti-FTAA protests of 2003 in Miami, FL).
Their best-known publications are the books Days of War, Nights of Love, Evasion, Recipes for Disaster: An Anarchist Cookbook and the pamphlet Fighting For Our Lives (of which, to date, they have printed 500,000 copies)

Eberhardt Press
Eberhardt Press is dedicated to bringing anarchist and anti-authoritarian voices to print. We publish original titles as well as classic revolutionary texts that are out of print and in danger of fading from memory. Therefore we are able to offer our books and pamphlets less expensively to the public. Whenever possible or practical, we also make electronic files of our publications available on the Internet for free.

Factory School
Factory School is a learning and production collective engaged in action research, publishing, media display, and community service. Concerned with public education as much as education in public, Factory School emphasizes the social and cultural reproductive function of the multiple media arts.
As a network of audio and video presentations, books, artwork, web-based installations, posters and pamphlets, we encourage use of all distributed materials for purposes of education in the broadest sense: in or out of the classroom, as prompts or models, as means or ends. We also sponsor research and design studios, provide teaching resources, and offer community-based mentoring and consulting.
Factory School seeks to engage with others operating in the areas of education, publication, distribution, and civic action. We consider today's artists, educators and activists to be the vanguard of a new generation of culture workers striving to transcend borders of nation, language, class, race, gender, institutional status, and other divides.
Feral House
Feral House has been publishing innovative and celebrated non-fiction books since 1989. Movies have been made, cultural trends influenced and political crimes exposed by our small, independent press. Headquartered in Port Townsend, WA, Feral House publisher Adam Parfrey has also co-founded the new imprint, Process Media, with Jodi Wille, formerly of Dilettante Press.
According to the Disinfo.com website, "Adam Parfrey is probably the most influential ‘underground' publisher in post-millennial America." In a recent L.A. Weekly feature, writer Doug Harvey celebrates "Adam Parfrey's notorious, perpetually ahead-of-the-curve company, Feral House, whose encyclopedic interest in taboo (and conveniently forgotten) cultural phenomena helped define independent media through the '90s. Titles ranging from Psychic Dictatorship in the U.S.A. to Extreme Islam: Anti-American Propaganda of Muslim Fundamentalism stretched the parameters of acceptable intellectual discussion, keeping it broad and porous — often by sheer force of will — for almost two decades."Fifth Estate
Begun in 1965 as one of the first of the 500 so-called underground newspapers and published continually in Detroit, and now jointly in Tennessee, for readers across the world, the Fifth Estate is the longest publishing, English language, anti-authoritarian newspapers in American history. This "anti-authoritarian magazine of ideas & action" covers a wide range of topics from literature to Venezuela, slang, to the formation of the modern "anti-civilization" movement.

Green Anarchy Magazine
Green Anarchy is a radical anti-civilization anarchist magazine produced by an anarchist collective in Oregon and is published twice a year. Green Anarchy began as a basic introduction to eco-anarchist and radical environmental ideas, but after a year of limited success, members of the current collective took on the project with an enthusiastic trajectory. By Spring 2002, the magazine had gained an international reputation within the anarchist and environmental movements, as well as occasional mentions in the mainstream press (Fox News, Eugene Weekly, and more).
The collective has evolved over the past few years, but a core of dedicated individuals have been able to produce a consistent high-quality journal, delivered on-time, while we continue to broaden our scope, distribution, and print run. We have a large subscription base, small-scale localized distributors around the world, and a notoriety as a collective consistently posing provocative questions on the state of the world and global resistance. Green Anarchy is one of the most noted mediums for expressing green anarchist and anarcho-primitivist ideas and critiques. It is one of the most respected anarchist and radical environmental journals today, while continuously gaining more appeal in the non-activist world.
The collective is currently comprised of a number of diverse individuals with years of experience as self-publishers, authors, and speakers. Individuals in the collective are involved in various projects ranging from radio shows, video publications, international speaking tours, and more, yet, Green Anarchy remains the priority for all involved. One of the editors, John Zerzan, is an accomplished author, whose books include: Elements of Refusal (C.A.L. Press), Future Primitive (Autonomedia), Against Civilization (Uncivilized Books), and Running On Emptiness (Feral House), as well as numerous international translations.

Incendio
Our collective is publishing this bilingual (Spanish/English) journal called Incendio (wildfire). It is our intention to use this journal to connect English/Spanish speaking anarchists throughout the world to anarchist, indigenous, ecological, and social struggles occurring throughout Latin America.
This idea was inspired by two other projects. The first is Solidarity South Pacific, which was initiated by British eco-anarchists in order to support ecological and indigenous struggles in the South Pacific against cultural and environmental destruction. The second project is Abolishing Borders from Below, an English language publication from Germany. This is a bi-monthly anarchist journal that publishes articles about an array of anarchist and social struggles throughout Eastern Europe and Russia. The intention of Abolishing Borders from Below is to inform individuals in other countries about these struggles so that the information can be used to support comrades there. The journal we are creating, Incendio, aims to combine elements of both of these projects with a focus on Latin America.
Our idea is to develop an extensive list of contacts from Mexico to Argentina who will send us reports about what is occurring in their region. We'll collect these reports along with interviews, event notices, requests for solidarity and actions, and other news. The collective will have the material translated and then published in this journal. There are many topics that we expect to cover, such as the militarization of borders, transnational economic policies, environmental and cultural devastation, stories of creative revolt, etc.

To date, we have funded almost fifty projects by authors from countries around the world, including Argentina, Canada, Lebanon, Chile, Ireland, Nigeria, Germany, South Africa, the Czech Republic, and the United States.
In addition to supporting projects like the Renewing the Anarchist Tradition (RAT) conference, the NCOR Radical Theory Track, and the Latin American Archives Project, we also publish a biannual magazine, Perspectives on Anarchist Theory, to cultivate community among those interested in the development of anarchism. The IAS is part of a larger movement to radically transform society as well. We are internally democratic and work in solidarity with people around the globe who share our values.

Institute for Experimental Freedom
The Institute for Experimental Freedom is a transbioregional university of insurrectional arts. Contributing to the insurrectional project, the IEF creates and deconstructs radical aesthetics and elaborates on a historical and ecological materialist discourse. In regards to the distribution of ideas, the IEF focuses primarily on insurrectional theory and naratives of practice, critical race theory, post/transfeminisms, and anti-civilization through a "social eschatological" perspective.
We are currently working on a compliation of Venezuelan anarchist anti-Chavista works and publishing and layout for a zine exploring the liberatory and negate-ive potential of re-subjectification of Otherized bodies through the use of the 'alt' and feminist porn. Kate Sharpley Library
The Kate Sharpley Library was named in honor of Kate Sharpley, a First World War anarchist and anti-war activist, one of the countless little-known members of our movement so ignored by official historians of anarchism. The Library was founded in South London in 1979 and reorganized in 1991.
We have over 10,000 English language books, pamphlets and periodicals on anarchism, including complete or near complete runs of Black Flag, Direct Action (From 1945 onwards), Freedom, Man, Spain and the World, Freedom (USA), Why, The Blast, Spanish Revolution and a host of others. We have an equally strong collection of posters, leaflets, manuscripts, letters, and internal records, including reports from the IWA (AIT/IAA), the Anarchist Federation of Britain (1945-1950), the Syndicalist Workers Federation (1950-1979), Cienfuegos Press, ASP and many more. Our foreign language section covers a similar range of material in over 20 languages, and many rare pamphlets and newspapers.
We regularly publish new research on lost areas of anarchist history as well as historically important documents from the past. Our aim is to give, as Pietro Gori writes, "flowers for the fallen" and to allow the movement of today to learn from the past. Any movement that ignores its own history deserves what it gets!! The Kate Sharpley Library is always on the lookout for relevant material, and we ask all anarchist groups and publications to add our name to your mailing list. This is a rare opportunity to keep your history alive. We also appeal to all comrades and friends to donate suitable material to the Library. ALL donations of anarchist material are welcome, as are financial contributions since our only income is from individual donations and sales.
Please contact us if you would like to use our facilities and collection. We publish a regular bulletin of library news and historical articles (many never published in English before). For details of our publications, please write to us at:

Pistols Drawn
Welcome to Pistols Drawn, the place for nihilist anarchy—an anarchist perspective that does not posit a positive program for social change, that does not subscribe to any singular, or multiform, revolutionary program for social change. Unlike most anarchists a nihilist anarchist does not subscribe to models of progress, evolution, the general strike, the insurrection to end all insurrections, or the supremacy of theory over action. The nihilist anarchist may or may not subscribe to notions of the efficacy of individual (or social) action in the face of an enormous system of social control. The nihilist anarchist may or may not be a social creature themselves. A nihilist anarchist questions it all, not as a pointless exercise in self-rightous navel gazing but with an understanding that the connections that this society makes between us and them, you and I, the individual and the social, are not as they appear. They are not simple. More, that the relationships that are assumed are the most dangerous of all. These questions introduce this project.
We will, eventually, provide resources to people new to the ideas of nihilism, anarchy, and the relation between the two political philosophies. We will be developing these ideas throughout the life of this project.

Prole.info
Pamphlets and online texts for the angry wage worker.
The experience of those who are forced to work, and who struggle against the society based on work, creates certain kinds of ideas. When we are actively fighting for our own interests, these ideas solidify into a subversive, anti-capitalist perspective. This has at times been called "communism" or "anarchism". We do not need political groups to bring us these ideas, but we do need to think about how to fight for ourselves. To that end, prole.info collects writings from a subversive and anti-capitalist perspective on theory as well as history. Some of these writings use needlessly obscure language, and parts of them are definitely outdated. But they all raise important issues for the modern day prole.
We hope they will be useful to you.

Strangers in a Tangled Wilderness
This is a remarkably tiny collective dedicated to gift economic practice and the encouragement of alternative culture. They offer their products for free both in both physical and electronic form. They express some ambivalence about electronic distribution, feeling that the physical form of a zine allows it more substance, but have agreed that accessibility to alternative culture is more important than purity of form.Gift economics is the idea of an entire economic system based the gift as the primary (or sole) means of exchange. In such a society, rather than believing in communal property (as in communism) or individual property collected as capital (as in capitalism), property can either be owned by individuals or groups, but accumulation has no inherent value. Gift economics is not barter, which is merely a primitive form of capitalism.
