Produced in 1973, when the topic was still making headlines, The Angry Brigade explores a controversial series of events that began in 1970, events that were widely discussed and known in Great Britain, but rarely in the u.s. The Angry Brigade was a libertarian unit intending to escalate anarchist response to the state by attacking government targets. They planted bombs in a series of public and private places throughout Britain, like the homes of Tory members of parliament. (50 minutes)
Persons Unknown refers to a case in which members of the Anarchist Black Cross were tried for conspiring with persons unknown at places unknown to cause explosions and overthrow society. Features interviews and footage of Stuart Christie, Nicholas Walter, Crass, and many other UK anarchist activists and propagandists of the 70s. (22 minutes)
Also includes two interviews with Stuart Christie.
